I'll be presenting my paper "Darkness on the Edge of Cape Town: Bruce, New Jersey, South Africa and Back Again" at the Darkness on the Edge of Town International Symposium, sponsored by the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music. Convened on the beautiful campus of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, the conference will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Springsteen's iconic album Darkness on the Edge of Town. The conference will feature walking tours, music events, scholars from around the world, music critics, Grammy and Emmy award winning filmmakers, Springsteen biographers, fine arts photographers, music industry big wigs...and me! A must for hardcore Bruce nerds, but also a fun weekend for music fans who want to know more about "The Boss"
